Services

The components of a quilt include:  Top + Batting + Backing + Thread.

As each quilt is different, please stop in with your quilt top to request an accurate quote. Communication is essential for a great finished product. Please plan to spend at least 10 to 15 minutes per quilt top. We will ask many questions to help ensure that we understand what your expectations are. Please read through Preparing Your Quilt for a Longarm Quilter for additional tips and tricks. When dropping off a quilt, we request that the batting and backing be a minimum of 8-10 inches larger than your quilt top. For example, if your quilt top is 100 x 100, we will need 110 x 110. If you need to add fabric to your backing, please read through "How to Add, Piece, & Square Backing" for requirements and design ideas. We will spend time selecting a thread color and have a large variety to choose from, including variegated threads! There is a small fee for thread, based on type of thread, density of quilting and size of your quilt top. We will discuss the type of quilting (custom vs allover) and other details will include, trimming, binding, who the quilt is going to, etc. You can shop/preview our Wide Back Fabrics, Threads, and Batting By-The-Yard selections online or in store!

Turnaround Time

Our turnaround time is constantly fluctuating. We tend to be busier leading up to the WSQ Quilt Show in October (which has been cancelled this year), which then leads directly into Christmas. We are averaging 3 weeks out for computerized allover/edge-to-edge quilting Please note that if we are doing the binding, this can add an additional week to the turnaround time. If you have a deadline, please call to see if we can meet it without a rush fee. We only discuss how much a rush fee would be once we know all the details of the project.
