Longarm Machine Rental

For those folks who want to finish their own quilts, we rent time on our Gammill stitch regulated machines. You can finish a quilt the size of a doll quilt up to a king-size spread.

Before renting a machine, you will need to complete a certification class. This is where you will learn how to thread the machine, wind the bobbin, and load the quilt with our zipper system, as well as how to operate the machine. We will also cover quilting techniques and there will be time to get acquainted with and practice on the machine.

Come and see how fun, easy and rewarding it is to finish your quilts on a long-arm!

Call us today to reserve your rental time.

How much does machine rental cost?
Rental is either by the hour at $16 or you can prepay 10 hours for $130. All rental has a two-hour minimum and your time is charged out at the 1/4 of the hour after that.  Prepaid hours expire 2 years after purchase and are only available for a single user.

What is included in the rental fees?
Rental includes use of Signature long-arm quilting thread. We also have a small library of Pantographs available for your use. Our professional quilters are also here for any questions you may have.

What is not included in the rental fees?
Batting and backing are not included in the rental fees. We do have a great selection of batting, wide quilt back fabrics and additional Pantographs for purchase in our store to finish your quilt.

How much time should I reserve?
Your rental time starts at your scheduled start time and ends when you zip off. We recommend coming with your zippers already pinned to your backing, or early enough to pin here before your scheduled start time.

Below is a table for estimated completion times based on the size of your project, using a large, open design. Keep in mind the density of your quilting as well as your experience level should both be factored in when reserving your time. We need to have an idea of what size quilt you will be long-arm quilting so we can schedule your time.

Baby or Lap Quilt - 1 to 2 hours
Twin Quilt - 2 to 3 hours
Full Quilt - 2 to 3 hours
Queen Quilt - 2.5 to 4 hours
King Quilt - 3 to 4+ hours

What if I can't finish in one session?
If no one is scheduled after your session, you may extend your time as needed and within our regular business hours. Because of the zippered leaders, it's easy to zip off and pick back up another day.

What if I can't make my reserved time?

We request 24 hours notice for any cancellations to avoid forfeiture of reserved time.

I've taken the class, but it's been so long, I may need help.
If it's been more than a year since your class or your last rental session, we will require you to take a short refresher class. The refresher class is $15 and you will need to come about 1/2 hour prior to your scheduled time.
